Although I have worn Western and Engineer boots for decades this is my first boot jack. The flexibility of the knees and hips are not what it used to be making it difficult to get some of my Engineer boots off at the end of the day. After searching and reading the reviews I settled on this one. Yes it seems expensive but I want quality construction and functionality and if it is Made in the U.S.A. all the better, so I am willing to pay a little extra. This boot jack checks all the boxes. It’s made from a substantial piece of wood and has the added little touches like the leather pad on top and the bottom touches the floor. And most importantly, the “horseshoe” is covered with thick leather to protect the heel up of your boots. The bronze tacks are a very nice touch. So far, it works like a charm. Highly recommend buying one.
